Privacy Policy
1.Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how [Veluxe Legacy Group, LLC] ("Veluxe Legacy Group," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit veluxelegacygroup.com, submit a quote request, communicate with our licensed agents, or participate in our text messaging program (collectively, the "Services").
Veluxe Legacy Group is a licensed independent life insurance agency. We help consumers compare and apply for life insurance products issued by third-party insurance carriers. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions.
2.Information We Collect
The categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us:
| Category | Examples |

| Financial Information | Bank account or payment information provided to an insurance carrier to pay a premium. Veluxe Legacy Group does not store full payment card or bank account numbers on its own systems; this information is transmitted directly to the issuing carrier or its payment processor. |
| Commercial Information | Records of quotes requested, products discussed, applications submitted, and policies purchased. |
| Communications Data | The content and metadata of calls, text messages, emails, and web chats with our agents, including call recordings where permitted by law and disclosed to you. |
| Consent Records | A timestamped record of your opt-in, including the date and time, IP address, the exact consent language displayed to you, the page URL, and the form fields you submitted. |
| Internet & Device Activity | IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on our site. |
| Approximate Location | General location derived from IP address or from the ZIP code and state you provide, used to determine product availability and licensing. |
Sensitive information. Health information and Social Security numbers are considered sensitive. We collect them only when necessary to obtain an accurate quote or submit an insurance application on your behalf, and we use them only for those purposes and as otherwise permitted by law.
3.How We Collect Information
- Directly from you — when you complete a quote request form, speak with an agent by phone, exchange text messages with us, email us, or complete an insurance application.
- Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
- From insurance carriers — application status, underwriting decisions, and policy information relating to applications we submitted on your behalf.
- From service providers — such as our telephony, CRM, e-signature, and consent-certification vendors acting on our behalf.
- From consumer reporting and verification sources — where you have authorized it as part of an insurance application, such as prescription history databases, the MIB Group, or motor vehicle records obtained by the issuing carrier.
4.How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your quote request and prepare life insurance quotes;
- Contact you by phone, text message, and email about your request, in accordance with the consent you provided;
- Schedule and conduct appointments with a licensed agent;
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance applications with third-party carriers on your behalf;
- Service your policy, answer questions, and assist with carrier communications;
- Maintain records of your consent and communication preferences;
- Operate, secure, monitor, and improve the Services;
- Detect and prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access;
- Comply with insurance regulations, state and federal law, and lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement;
- Send you information about other products and services we offer, where permitted and subject to your right to opt out.
5.Mobile Information & SMS Consent
This section describes how we handle information related to our text messaging program.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services on our behalf — such as customer service platforms and messaging providers — is permitted. All other categories in this Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
When you opt in to receive text messages from Veluxe Legacy Group, we collect and store your mobile telephone number, the record of your consent, and the content of messages exchanged with us. We use this information only to send you the messages described in our SMS Terms: agent follow-up, appointment confirmations, quote information, application and policy status updates, and replies to your questions.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or texting STOP to (855) 610-5160. Reply HELP for assistance. See our Terms & Conditions for the full messaging terms.
We retain a record of your opt-out so that we can honor it. This means we keep your mobile number on a suppression list — this is required to ensure we do not message you again, and is not used for any other purpose.
7.Sale & Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information for these purposes in the preceding twelve (12) months.
We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
9.Consent Certification Technology
Our quote request forms may use independent consent-certification technology — such as ActiveProspect TrustedForm or Verisk Jornaya LeadiD — to create an objective, timestamped record of your form submission and the consent language displayed to you at the time.
These services observe your interaction with the form and create a certificate documenting it. We use these certificates solely to demonstrate that you provided consent, and to defend against claims that you did not. Their use of information they collect is governed by their own privacy policies. This technology does not collect the health or Social Security information you enter, and it is not used for advertising.
10.Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy and to meet our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations. Insurance regulations generally require agencies to retain records of transactions and communications for a period of years after the transaction. Specifically:
- Consent records and TCPA documentation — retained for at least five (5) years after the consent is given or revoked, to demonstrate compliance;
- Application and policy records — retained in accordance with applicable state insurance recordkeeping requirements, typically five (5) to seven (7) years;
- Opt-out and Do Not Call records — retained indefinitely so that we can continue to honor your request;
- Quote requests that do not result in an application — retained for 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law.
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
11.How We Protect Your Information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting agent access to the records they need, authentication requirements for our systems, activity logging, and vendor due diligence.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send Social Security numbers, health details, or financial account information to us by text message or unencrypted email. Your agent will provide a secure method for sensitive information.
12.Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of parties to whom we disclosed it;
- Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal and regulatory exceptions;
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Right to opt out — opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information);
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — where applicable;
- Right to portability — receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Submit a request by emailing [privacy@veluxelegacygroup.com] or calling (855) 610-5160. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request, typically by confirming information already in our records. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with one permitted extension).
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
Exceptions. Some information cannot be deleted where we are required to retain it — for example, records required by insurance regulators, consent and opt-out records needed to honor your preferences and demonstrate compliance, and information held by an insurance carrier under its own obligations.
13.State-Specific Disclosures
California
California residents have the rights described above under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. California's "Shine the Light" law permits residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we do not make such disclosures. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana & Other States
Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. You may also have the right to appeal a denial of your request; if we deny your request, our response will explain how to appeal, and you may contact your state Attorney General if your appeal is denied.
Nevada
Nevada residents may direct us not to sell certain personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under Nevada law.
14.Financial Privacy Notice (GLBA)
As an insurance agency, we are a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the sources described above. We disclose that information only as permitted by law — including to insurance carriers to process your application, to service providers acting on our behalf, and as required by regulators.
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information to those employees and agents who need it to provide products or services to you, and we maintain safeguards to protect it. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about our current or former clients to nonaffiliated third parties except as permitted or required by law.
15.Do Not Call & Communication Preferences
You control how we contact you:
| To stop… | Do this |
|---|---|
| Text messages | Reply STOP to any message, or text STOP to (855) 610-5160. |
| Phone calls | Tell any agent you wish to be added to our internal Do Not Call list, or email [privacy@veluxelegacygroup.com]. |
| Marketing emails | Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us. |
| All contact | Email [privacy@veluxelegacygroup.com] with the subject line "Do Not Contact." |
We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and honor requests promptly. We may still contact you regarding an active application or in-force policy, or as otherwise required by law. Note that opting out of marketing does not remove you from transactional messages about business you have already placed with us.
16.Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at [privacy@veluxelegacygroup.com] and we will delete it. Where a minor is named as an insured or beneficiary, we collect only the information the carrier requires, provided by the adult applicant.
17.Third-Party Websites
Our Services may link to third-party websites, including insurance carrier portals and e-application platforms. This Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
18.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes to how we handle your information, we will provide notice through the Services or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
